Step-by-Step Application Process

Step 1: Fill Out Online Application

Complete our Online Application by filling out all required sections. To start your Online Application, select the “Start Your Application” button below.

The application includes:

  • Student and Family Information

  • Emergency Contacts

  • Medical and Academic Details

  • Tuition Agreement

  • Media release and liability waiver

Please take your time and ensure all required fields are completed before submitting.

Step 2: Tour Our Campus (Optional)

We invite you to visit our scenic, nature-integrated campus to experience the Sky Island difference.

Options:

  • Campus Tour: Contact us to schedule a tour.

  • Family Information Nights: Join us every Thursday from 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM for a guided walk-through and Q&A session.

    • June 26 - July 24

Tours are optional but strongly encouraged for new families.

Step 3: Submit Enrollment Documents

Once your application is reviewed, we will send you an email with login credentials to your Parent Portal. From there, you can securely upload all required enrollment documents.

Documents required:

  • Birth certificate

  • Proof of Arizona Residency

  • Immunization record (or ADHS exemption form)

  • Current copy of Transcripts

  • Copy of IEP or 504 (if applicable)

  • Custody Documents (if applicable)

Enrollment will remain pending until all documents are received and verified.

Step 4: Enrollment Decision

After reviewing your application and submitted documents, our admissions team will notify you of your enrollment status.

Accepted families will receive:

  • A Welcome Email

  • Access to your Parent Portal for tuition management

  • Next steps for orientation and class placement

Step 5: Tuition Options

Sky Island School offers the following tuition structure:

Tuition Rates

  • Kindergarten (Half Day): $4,000/year

  • Kindergarten (Full Day): $8,000/year

  • 1st Grade - 5th Grade: $10,000/year

Tuition is billed monthly, at a rate of $1,000 per month.

Payment Options

Once your child is enrolled, we’ll send monthly invoices on the 1st of each month. You may choose from the following options:

Option 1: ESA Funds (ClassWallet)

  • We are an approved vendor in ClassWallet

  • Monthly invoices are provided with all necessary details for ESA payments

  • You will receive Classwallet submission instructions in your Welcome Email.

  • Any portion of tuition not covered by ESA funds will be billed to your separately and must be paid through your Parent Portal.

Option 2: Parent Portal Payments

  • If you are not using ESA funds, you can pay tuition directly through your Parent Portal.

  • The portal allows you to view invoices, track payments, and manage billing securely.

  • The portal also provides access to your child’s documents, school calendar, and account history.

Tuition must be paid on time to maintain enrollment status.

Empowerment Scholarship Account

Sky Island School proudly accepts Arizona’s ESA, allowing families to access tuition funding for private and alternative education.

What ESA Can Help With:

  • Significantly reduce out-of-pocket tuition costs

  • Educational supplies, curriculum, and materials

  • Flexible use based on your child’s educational needs

Who Qualifies?

  • Arizona’s ESA program is open to many families, including those with students entering Kindergarten, or even transferring from public schools.
